Why Performance Matters
Over the course of my career I have learned that, in this industry, client relationships are what drive the business. When the only tangible piece of evidence a client has that shows you performed the work is an audit report or tax return, what they remember is the performance of the service. Missing deadlines, poor execution of a plan, etc. are unacceptable because that’s what gets remembered. A successful engagement is measured not only by efficient and effective execution; it’s also measured in a very large way by client response.
